Rebaba opens first CircularHub in Stockholm in collaboration with Energibruket and Oppo Invest
Rebaba launches its first CircularHub in Stockholm – turning EV batteries into high-performance energy storage. Hosted by Energibruket on Lidingö, the site marks a powerful partnership driving Sweden’s energy transition. The first systems already in production, with deliveries set to begin later this year.
In comes high-quality EV battery packs. Out goes top-tier stationary energy storage, designed, built, and controlled in Sweden. This is what smart, local production looks like.
Rebaba is launching its first CircularHub together with Energibruket – a next-generation production facility on Lidingö, Stockholm. The concept is simple: repurpose automotive-grade batteries into energy storage systems that power industries, buildings and EV chargers with green energy and no compromise, built to meet today’s performance demands.
“We are excited to host Rebaba’s first CircularHub at our site in Lidingö. There are clear synergies between our mission and theirs, and this collaboration opens up new, exciting opportunities to accelerate the energy transition together,” says Philip Broms, co-founder of Energibruket and partner at Oppo invest.
Across Europe, commercial buildings are still missing a key piece of the electrification puzzle: energy storage. Without it, they face higher costs, slower decarbonization and increasing exposure to grid volatility. And when batteries are installed, the benefits are often cancelled out by carbon-heavy production, long transport routes and critical mineral extraction.
Rebaba offers a smarter path forward – local, circular and scalable.
By capitalizing on existing infrastructure and local expertise, the CircularHub removes the need for complex and resource-heavy production. It is lean, efficient, and independent. Local circularity enables us to cut global dependencies, reduce emissions, and build energy resilience from the ground up.
“This is the launchpad for a smarter energy system, and we are proud to build it together with Energibruket. We are nailing the recipe now to be copy pasted to local battery streams globally, scaling our impact with profit,” says Felix Kruse, co-founder at Rebaba.
EV batteries are built to meet some of the toughest standards in the battery industry. Long before they hit the road, they undergo rigorous testing by automotive manufacturers to ensure top level safety, performance and reliability. That makes them exceptionally well suited for second life applications, where quality and durability are key.
The first systems are already in production and deliveries will begin later this year.
